QSciTech is a training program that aims at training the next generation of quantum scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs in the field of quantum science and technologies. QSciTech is funded by NSERC (Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada) through its CREATE (Collaborative Research and Training Experience) program. The program comprises training in entrepreneurship, intellectual property, design, project management and quantum sciences, as well as teamwork and an internship in industry. This allows students to develop a comprehensive vision of the quantum technology development chain and to build the essential skills to ensure the success of these technologies.
Student eligibility
Any graduate student in physics, engineering, computer science, mathematics (other disciplines might be considered) from a participating university is eligible provided that her/his research project is in quantum materials and technologies (i.e., quantum information and computing, quantum materials and devices, quantum engineering). Participating universities are: Université de Sherbrooke, McGill University, École Polytechnique, Université de Montréal, Simon Fraser University, Concordia Université and Université Laval.
Application
Interested students must fill out the attached application form available online and send it with required documents to info@qscitech.ca no later than January 15 for admission in Winter 2022.
